My husband and I still can't believe we won $5,000 from buying a SINGLE $1 ticket. $5,000 is a lot of money for us and it really helped pay our bills.
But the first thing we did after we got our prize money was go to our favorite store and buy another single $1 scratch-off. We had bought our winning ticket on my birthday (March 10th) so we went on the 10th of that month. Even with 1-in-10 odds of winning, we won! We were happy, even if it was just $1.
We turned it into a ritual and now we go to the store on the 10th of every month and buy a single $1 scratch-off. We've been doing this for a little over a year and we only lost once!
